This site is a tool to help you figure out where in the world you could realistically move. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and what we do with it. No legalese.
What we collect
- Your quiz answers — things like your reasons for moving, work situation, budget, family setup, and preferred climate. This is stored anonymously alongside a randomly generated session ID. We do not collect your name or email address.
- Your approximate country — we use a third-party service (ipapi.co) to detect what country you're visiting from based on your IP address. We use this to understand where our users are coming from. We don't store your IP address.
Why we collect it
- Quiz answers — to understand which countries and features people care about most, so we can prioritize what to build and update next.
- Country detection — to understand where our users are coming from and prioritize which countries to build for next.
What we don't do
- We don't collect your email address or any other personal information.
- We don't sell your data. Ever.
- We don't share quiz answers with third parties. We may publish aggregate, anonymous statistics (e.g. "X% of users want to move for financial reasons").
- We don't use ad tracking or run any ad networks on this site.
Third-party services
We use a small number of services to run the site:
- Supabase — stores anonymous quiz responses. Data is stored in the US.
- ipapi.co — detects your country from your IP address. Their privacy policy is at ipapi.co/privacy.
- Google Fonts — serves the fonts used on this site. Google may log your IP address when fonts are loaded.
- Google Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site (pages visited, time on site, general location). It uses cookies to track sessions anonymously. You can opt out via Google's opt-out tool.
